that a Harper minority is the best thing we can hope for. The others I've talked to have agreed for the most part. The problem is that you can't vote for 'minority government' and so many who hold the above opinion are  afraid that Harper might get a majority since it's considered 'safe' to vote for him. This creates the kind of mental logjam one gets into when considering which cup has the poison in it.

Our election system complicates the difficulty of of choosing how to vote because not only do we often vote against our preferred candidate (because they may not be viable to win), we also often end up with two separate parties ruling the country. All this is on one ballot.
